Devlog & process
This is my first exposure to and using Unity to make a game... Well, actually this is my first time making a video game. All of this is extremely challenging for me, I don't know how to program and make the game challenging and fun. So I watched a lot of game-making tutorials on Youtube and I have to say, they really helped me a lot.
As I said, I'm not a programmer and I have no programmed experience before. So programming the scripts is the part that annoys me the most because once I write the wrong piece of code, it took me twice or more long times to find that bug. Of course, apart from my own complaints, the sense of accomplishment after the scripts are completed is also the part that makes me most proud of myself!
As an environmental design and interior design student, the map-making part makes me felling fun and relaxed. I tried a lot of different platform arrangements way to make the game challenging. And added an enemies system, killing system and coin collection to make the game more interesting.
In order to make Hyper Jump look more like a complete and official video game, I also made a start menu and an end menu. And the buttons are all interactive (more programming and coding!!!)
